on Patient Assistance Programs for Epilepsy Medications

Mike, Lynn, Mary-Elizabeth, Caitlin and Matt Floskis have been volunteering their time to help The Matty Fund since, well since before there even was a Matty Fund. Caitlin, then 14 years old, organized “The Matthew Siravo Memorial FUN RUN” back in 2003. Caitlin and her brother, Matthew, knew Matty’s older brothers from school, and after hearing about Matty’s passing Caitlin wanted to do something at the school for the Siravo family. Over $5,000 was raised and the Siravo family used these funds as the start of what would be a $100,000 fundraising effort to build the handicapped accessible Matty’s Place Playground at Hazard School. This would be the first of many projects and goals to be achieved by Matty’s mom and dad, Richard and Debbie to improve the lives of children touched by epilepsy. Since that first Fun Run the Floskis Family has been in integral part of The Matty Fund. Mike and Lynn serve on all Matty Fund fundraising event committees. The also attend and volunteer at each of these events, as well as many other Resource Center programs and family events. Mary-Elizabeth and Matthew also volunteer and/or participate in Matty Fund events. Caitlin has also stayed connected as part of the 5k Run/Walk committee and volunteering for events. She became even more connected this past January when she accepted the position as Programs and Events Coordinator for the Matty Fund. The Floskis family has helped the Matty Fund to grow to what it is today.
