Family Programs

In addition to workshops and support groups the Matty Fund® coordinates free special events specifically for families of children touched by epilepsy. In addition to kid friendly activities these events give families the opportunity to socialize and help build a support system for moms, dads, and kids (siblings are welcome) in a casual and fun atmosphere.

Matty’s Egg Hunt is held on the Saturday before Easter at Matty’s Place Playground and in an adjoining field.
In addition to playground fun and snacks, kids will hunt for eggs and the highlight is a visit from the Easter Bunny for photos and fun.

Discovering My Epilepsy Support Group Pumpkin Festival is held each year in lieu of its October meeting. Activities include things like pumpkin painting, fun crafts, face painting, games, races, and hayrides.
